Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to provide treatment under the supervision of a Physical Therapist in home care settings. You will instruct patients in exercises, assist with transfers, and help ensure the plan of care is followed.

Mileage reimbursement and benefits are available as part of our strong support package. Responsibilities include following state laws, coordinating with the care team, and reporting patient responses to the supervising PT.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and plan of care under supervising PT; perform only qualified procedures; propose changes as needed.
• Instructs patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADLs, and transfers.
• Observes and reports patient responses; coordinates care with the healthcare team.
