Job summary

Amedisys is seeking an experienced Physical Therapy Assistant for PRN/Per-Diem weekday coverage in the home health setting. The role entails performing prescribed PT interventions under the supervision of a licensed PT, documenting patient responses, and coordinating care with the care team to promote wellness at home.

Qualified candidates have a CAPTE-accredited PTA degree, an active PTA license in the state, CPR certification, and at least one year of PTA home health experience.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a physical therapy assistant in the assigned state.
• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
• At least one year of PTA experience in home health care; mentoring if less.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide PT services under supervision and in accordance with plan of care.
• Observe and report patient responses and changes to the supervising PT.
• Document supervisory activities in the medical record.
• Participate in care conferences and quality improvement activities.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and coordinate follow-up care as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
