Job summary

Caretenders, a part of LHC Group and member of the UnitedHealth Group family, seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant for home health in Massachusetts. You will implement the plan of care, guide patients through exercises, and educate families to enhance well-being.

You will follow state PT laws, coordinate with the care team, and adapt to diverse home settings. The role offers per-visit and hourly compensation with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws governing the provision of physical therapy in home care and follow the plan of care defined by the supervising PT.
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait, functional, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observes, records, and reports patient responses to treatment to the supervising PT, nurse supervisor, and physician; coordinates care with the healthcare team.
• Instructs patient, family, caregiver, and health team in therapy within the PT scope.
• Function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
