Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver therapy per the plan of care in a home health setting. You will educate patients and families, guide exercise programs, and coordinate with the care team to improve patient well-being.

Responsibilities include following state laws, assessing progress, and communicating changes to the supervising PT. The role supports a comprehensive benefits package and career growth within a nationwide healthcare system.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.
• CPR certification preferred or achievable within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and the plan of care defined by the supervising PT.
• Instruct and aid patients in active and passive exercises, gait, and mobility.
• Observe and report patient responses; coordinate with the healthcare team.
• Educate patient, family, and other staff in PTA scope of therapy.
• Function in diverse home environments regardless of background.
