Job summary

CHRISTUS Home Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to support patients in home care settings under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. You will provide treatment, education, and exercise instruction to improve patient well-being and function.

The role requires weekend availability, a valid driver’s license, and CPR certification. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered along with a comprehensive benefits package and 401(k) plan as part of UnitedHealth Group’s benefits program.

Qualifications

Must be licensed or certified to assist in physical therapy in the practicing state.
Must have a valid driver's license with access to a dependable vehicle or public transit.
Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

Follow state laws for home care physical therapy and perform only supervised PT acts.
Instruct patients in active and passive exercises, gait, ADLs, transfers and prosthetic training.
Observe and report patient responses; coordinate care with the health care team.
Educate patients and families on therapy within PTA scope, ensuring safety and adherence to plan of care.
Function in diverse home settings and uphold patient dignity and equality.
