Job summary

Elite Home Health, part of the LHC Group and a member of the Optum family, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to perform treatments and provide exercise instruction and education under a supervising Physical Therapist.

The role follows established plans of care and requires following state PT laws, while coordinating with the healthcare team and adapting to diverse home environments. Weekend rotation is required, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment and exercise instruction to improve the patient's well-being under the supervising PT.
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observed and reports patient response to treatment to supervising PT and care team; coordinates care.
• Instructs patient, family, caregiver, and other health care team members in therapy areas within PT scope.
• Adapt to home settings regardless of age, race, creed, or financial condition.
