Job summary

CHRISTUS Home Health, part of the LHC Group and Optum family, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver patient-centered care in the home setting under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. You will implement treatment plans, provide exercise instruction, and educate patients and families to improve well-being.

Responsibilities include following state laws, assisting with motor and functional activities, documenting patient progress, and coordinating with the health care team for

Qualifications

• Currently licensed, registered, or certified to assist in physical therapy in the state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance or access to dependable transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and the plan of care as defined by the supervising PT.
• Instructs and assists patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, and mobility.
• Observes and reports patient responses; coordinates care with the health team.
