Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Caretenders home health team is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant. You will perform treatment, provide exercise instruction and patient education to improve well-being under the supervising PT.

This full-time position offers a weekday schedule with comprehensive benefits and a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified new hires. You will follow state laws, assist with gait, ADLs, and mobility, document patient responses, and coordinate with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of client background.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and supervising PT plan of care, and recommend changes as needed.
• Instructs patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, and mobility training.
• Observe and report patient responses and coordinate care with the healthcare team.
• Instruct patient and family in therapy within the PTA scope.
