Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for home health services. You will perform treatment, provide exercise instruction, and educate patients to improve well-being under the plan of care.

Responsibilities include following state laws, assisting with mobility and ADLs, and coordinating with the care team. Weekend availability and a valid driver’s license are required to support patients in home settings.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance or access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing home PT practice and implement the plan of care as defined by the supervising PT.
• Instruct patients in active/passive exercise, gait, ADL, transfers, safety and prosthetic training.
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment to the supervising PT and care team.
• Educate patient, family, and caregivers on therapy within PTA scope.
• Provide care in diverse home settings regardless of client background.
