Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to perform treatment, provide exercise instruction, and patient education within a home health plan of care. The role supports patient well-being and requires compliance with the supervising PT's plan.

Responsibilities include directing therapy, observing patient responses, coordinating care with the health team, and educating patients and families about therapy within PTA scope. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Current license to assist in physical therapy as a PTA in the state of practice.
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation or public transit.
• Available to work weekend rotations.

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws governing home health PT as defined by the supervising PT.
• Instruct and aid patients in active and passive exercise, gait, functional activities, and mobility training.
• Observe and report patient responses; coordinate care with the healthcare team.
• Educate patient, family, and caregivers on therapy within PTA scope.
• Function in diverse home settings regardless of patient background.
