Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver treatment and patient education within a home care setting, following a prescribed plan of care and collaborating with the supervising Physical Therapist.

The role requires adherence to state physical therapy laws, ability to assist with gait and mobility training, and effective communication with patients, families, and the care team. Weekend availability and a current PTA license are essential.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow all state-specific laws governing the provision of physical therapy in home care, and adhere to the supervising PT's plan of care.
• Instruct and aid patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, and mobility training.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment to the supervising PT and care team.
