Job summary

Suncrest Home Health, a part of LHC Group within the UnitedHealth Group family, seeks a Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant in North Carolina. You will perform treatment and provide exercise instruction and patient education under a supervising PT to improve the patient’s well-being per the plan of care.

Responsibilities include guiding patients through active and passive exercises, documenting responses, coordinating with the care team, and educating patients and families on therapy

Qualifications

• Required qualifications provided: licensed/registered/certified to assist in physical therapy in state of practice
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance or access to dependable transportation
• Available to work a weekend rotation

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and the plan of care defined by the supervising PT
• Instructs patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADLs, transfers and safety
• Observe, record and report patient responses; coordinate care with the health care team
• Educate patient, family and health-care team on therapy within the PTA scope
• Function in diverse home settings regardless of patient demographics
