Job summary

SunCrest Home Healt, a part of LHC Group and within the Optum family, seeks a Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant to perform treatment and provide exercise instruction per the care plan in home health settings.

Candidate must hold PTA licensure, have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, and be available for weekend rotations; CPR certification is preferred within 90 days of hire. Per visit and hourly pay combine into a total cash target.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation
• Available to work a weekend rotation
• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire
• Ability to perform physical tasks required for patient care, including lifting, transferring, and assisting with mobility

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws governing provision of physical therapy in home care and follow the supervising PT's plan of care
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, and mobility training
• Observes and reports patient responses and coordinates care with the healthcare team
• Educates patient, family, and caregivers on therapy within the PTA scope
• Function effectively in diverse home environments and with diverse patient populations
