Suncrest Home Health, part of LHC Group and the Optum family, is hiring a Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver treatment and provide exercise instruction and patient education within the home setting, following the established plan of care.

You’ll collaborate with a supervising PT, observe patient responses, coordinate with nursing and physicians, and support families and caregivers while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compassion.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance or access to dependable transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsabilités

• Following state laws and the supervising PT's plan of care to perform only trained procedures.
• Instructs patients in active and passive exercise, gait and ADL training.
• Observes and reports patient responses to treatment to the supervising PT and care team.
• Instructs patients and family in therapy within PTA scope.
• Functioning in diverse home settings regardless of patient demographics.
