Optum's DFW Home Health is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support patients at home, following a defined plan of care under supervision. You will provide exercise instruction, patient education, and contribute to improving wellbeing.

Required qualifications include a current PTA license, CPR, a valid driver's license, and weekend rotation availability. The role offers a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws governing the provision of physical therapy in home care and adhere to the supervising PT's treatment plan.
• Instruct and aid patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, transfer, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses and coordinate care with the healthcare team.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy within the PTA scope.
