Job summary

Optum's DFW Home Health, part of the UnitedHealth Group family, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant in Denton, Texas. You will perform treatment, provide exercise instruction, and patient education under the supervising PT.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy.
• Ability to perform active and passive exercises as directed by supervising PT.
• Ability to coordinate care with the health team and educate patients’ families.

Responsibilities

• Follow state law and supervise treatment as defined by the PT.
• Instruct active and passive exercises, gait, and ADL training.
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment to the PT and nursing staff.
• Educate patient, family, and caregivers on therapy within PTA scope.
