Job summary

Optum is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for DFW Home Health to implement treatment plans under a supervising Physical Therapist. You will educate patients, assist with exercises, and coordinate care to support well-being in patients' home settings.

You will work with a team to follow plans of care, document progress, and adapt therapy activities for diverse patient needs while maintaining compliance with state regulations.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
• Ability to work with diverse patient populations.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and supervising PT plan of care.
• Instruct patients in active and passive exercises and gait training.
• Observe and report patient responses; coordinate with health care team.
• Educate patient, family, and caregivers on therapy techniques.
