Job summary

HomeCall, a part of LHC Group within the Optum family, seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to perform treatment and provide exercise instruction and patient education under the supervising Physical Therapist in home health settings.

Responsibilities include following state laws, assisting with active and passive exercises, gait, and ADL training, and coordinating care with the healthcare team. Weekend rotation is required, with a comprehensive benefits package provided.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation
• Available to work a weekend rotation

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing physical therapy in home care and implement the plan of care as defined by the supervising PT
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, and prosthetic training
• Observes and reports patient responses, coordinates care with the healthcare team, and educates patient and family
