CHRISTUS HomeCare, part of the Optum family and UnitedHealth Group, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to perform treatments and provide exercise instruction and patient education to improve well-being. The PTA will follow the plan of care set by the supervising Physical Therapist in home care settings and coordinate with the care team.

Qualificações

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.
• Preferred: Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: Ability to perform physical tasks required for patient care, including lifting, transferring, and assisting with mobility.

Responsabilidades

• Follow state laws governing provision of physical therapy in home care and act within the supervising PT's plan of care.
• Instruct and assist patients with active and passive exercises, gait, ADLs, transfer, and prosthetic training.
• Observe and report patient progress and coordinate care with the healthcare team.
• Instruct patients, family and caregivers in therapy within the scope of the PTA
• Function effectively in diverse home settings regardless of background.
