Job summary

Christus Homecare in Palestine, TX is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to join a devoted team. You will implement treatment plans, guide patients through prescribed exercises, and educate families under the supervision of a licensed PT.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow supervising PT plan of care and state PT laws.
• Instructs patients in active and passive exercises, gait, and transfer training.
• Observe and report patient responses and changes to the plan of care to the supervising PT.
• Educate patient, family, caregiver on therapy within the PTA scope.
