Qualifications

• Holds a current Occupational Therapy License.
• Graduated from an OT program accredited by the relevant boards or has eligibility for national exam.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One-year clinical experience; home health experience preferred.
• CPR certification current.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong critical thinking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assesses clients using age-appropriate norms and development principles.
• Formulates care plans with client and clinical supervisor and physician approval.
• Identifies unmet client needs and refers to appropriate disciplines.
• Provides education to client and caregiver to enhance self-care abilities.
• Delivers OT services in the home as prescribed by a physician.
• Documents assessments and interventions per regulations and policy.
• Supervises and evaluates OT assistants and home health aides as needed.
• Adheres to federal and state regulations and professional standards.
