Job summary

CareRing Health is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide professional OT services in clients’ homes in Virginia. You will assess, plan, implement, and document therapy to improve function and independence, coordinating with physicians and care teams.

Responsibilities include education for clients and families, supervising assistants, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Prior experience in home health is preferred and CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

• Holds a current Virginia Occupational Therapy license.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• One year of clinical experience; home health experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Excellent communication, organizational and human relations skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
• Strong critical thinking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients using age-appropriate norms and developmental principles.
• Develop plans of care with client, supervisor, and physician approval.
• Refer unmet needs to appropriate disciplines.
• Educate client/caregiver to enhance self-care abilities.
• Deliver services in cost-effective, efficient manner.
• Provide OT services in home per physician’s order and assist in functional evaluation.
• Document assessments and interventions per regulations and agency policies.
• Supervise OT Assistants and Home Health Aides as extension of therapy.
