Job summary

CareRing Health is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide professional OT in clients' homes within Virginia. The role emphasizes collaboration with the clinical team, physician oversight, and patient-centered care to improve function and independence.

The OT will assess needs, develop plans, educate families, and supervise support staff while maintaining regulatory compliance and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Virginia OT license required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One year clinical experience; home health preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to function with minimal supervision.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
• Strong critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess the client using age-appropriate norms and development.
• Formulate care plans with client, supervisor, and physician approval.
• Identify unmet client needs and refer to appropriate disciplines.
• Educate client/caregiver to enhance self-care abilities.
• Deliver OT services in the home as prescribed and assist physician in evaluating function.
• Document assessments, interventions, and client responses per policy.
• Supervise OTAs and HH Aides; provide additional supervision as needed.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and agency standards.
