Job summary

CareRing Health, LLC seeks an Occupational Therapist to provide professional therapy in accordance with regulatory guidelines and licensure requirements. You will assess clients and develop plans of care to meet their needs in the home and community.

This role reports to the VP of Clinical Services or Director of Professional Services and involves supervising OTAs and HH Aides, documenting care, and coordinating with physicians.

Qualifications

• Holds a current Occupational Therapy License in Virginia.
• Graduated from an OT curriculum accredited or eligible for the national Registration Examination.
• Holds a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One-year clinical experience; home health preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to function with minimal supervision.
• Able to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
• Able to think critically.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients using age-appropriate norms and growth/development principles.
• Formulate plans of care with client, supervisor and physician approval.
• Identify unmet client needs and refer to appropriate disciplines.
• Educate client and caregiver to enhance self-care abilities.
• Deliver services in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
• Provide OT services in the home as prescribed; assist physician in evaluating function.
• Document assessments, interventions and responses per regulations and policies.
• Supervise OTAs and HH Aides; provide supervision as needed.
• Participate in case conferences and discharge planning.
