Job summary

CareRing Health seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide in-home OT services in Virginia, coordinating care with physicians, clients, and families. The role emphasizes assessment, planning, and ongoing education to improve functional independence within the home environment.

Responsibilities include developing plans of care, supervising OTAs and HH Aides as needed, and ensuring compliance with licensure, agency policies, and documentation requirements.

Qualifications

• Holds a current Occupational Therapy License in Virginia.
• Graduated from OT program accredited by AOTA/ACHE or eligible for NBCOT exam.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One-year clinical experience; home health experience preferred.
• Has current CPR certification.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and human relations skills.
• Able to function with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional occupational therapy in clients' homes per regulatory guidelines.
• Assesses client using age-appropriate norms and growth/development principles.
• Formulates plans of care with client, supervisor, and physician approval.
• Identifies unmet client needs and refers to appropriate disciplines.
• Educates clients/caregivers to enhance self-care abilities.
• Delivers OT services in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
• Documents assessments, interventions, and client responses per policy.
• Supervises OTAs and HH Aides as applicable, with documented evaluations.
