Job summary

Amedisys, part of the Optum family, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients in their homes, promoting independence, safety, and quality of life. You will develop individualized plans based on physician orders and agency policies.

Responsibilities include managing all aspects of OT services under a physician-approved care plan, ensuring safety, documenting timely, and coordinating with a care team. Licensing and NBCOT eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ACOTE-accredited OT program.
• Current license to practice occupational therapy for the state of assignment.
• Eligible for NBCOT certification or completed NBCOT exam.
• Current CPR certification.
• 1+ year OT experience; regional leadership approval or mentoring if less.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients in their homes under physician-approved care.
• Promote independence, safety, and quality of life through OT.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with physician orders and policies.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
• Supervise home health aide when RN is not active in the case.
• Other duties as assigned.
