Job summary

Amedisys, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients in their homes, promoting independence, safety and improved quality of life. You will collaborate with patients, families and the care team to develop individualized plans in accordance with physician orders.

You will provide OT services under a physician-approved plan of care, document findings, supervise aides when needed, and participate in a supportive, growth-oriented

Qualifications

• Current license to practice occupational therapy in the assigned state.
• Graduate of ACOTE-accredited OT program.
• Eligible to take or has completed NBCOT certification exam.
• One year related occupational therapy experience (with mentoring/residency if less than 1 year).
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services under an approved physician plan of care.
• Ensure plan of care addresses identified problems and documents rationale.
• Ensure safety and effectiveness of OT service delivery.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation.
• Supervise home health aide when RN is not active in the case.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
