Amedisys, part of the Optum family, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients in their homes, promoting independence and safety. You will collaborate with patients, families, and an interdisciplinary team to create individualized plans of care following physician orders and agency policies.

The role emphasizes hands-on therapy, documentation accuracy, and potential supervision of home health aides. A strong clinical background and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice occupational therapy in the assigned state.
• OT program completed and ACOTE accreditation.
• Eligible to take or has completed the NBCOT certification exam.
• One year related occupational therapy experience.
• If less than one year, regional clinical leaders approval and mentoring required.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsabilités

• Provide OT services under physician-approved plan of care.
• Ensure plan addresses identified problems; document rationale when not addressed.
• Maintain safety and effectiveness of OT service delivery.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
• Supervise home health aide when RN is not active in the case.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
