Job summary

Cantex is seeking a Home Health Business Development Specialist to drive referral growth and patient census in the Richardson, TX area. You will build partnerships with hospitals, physician practices, SNFs, and community organizations, delivering presentations and educational programs to promote home health services.

You will collaborate with clinical and operational teams to optimize referral-to-admission conversion, monitor pipelines and performance metrics, and support organizational growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of home health business development experience.
• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding admission and census growth goals.
• Strong understanding of home health services, post-acute care, and referral sources (hospitals, SNFs, physician offices, community partners).
• Experience developing and executing sales and marketing strategies within an assigned territory.
• Ability to build and maintain referral relationships and professional partnerships.
• Experience analyzing market trends, referral patterns, and growth opportunities.
• Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic business development and healthcare marketing plans to support referral growth and census objectives.
• Build and maintain referral relationships with hospitals, SNFs, physician practices, and community organizations.
• Conduct sales calls, presentations, and educational programs to promote home health services.
• Identify and pursue referral opportunities, market trends, and business growth initiatives within the territory.
• Maintain and grow patient census and referral activity in line with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with leadership to support market expansion strategies and business development initiatives.
• Assist with development, implementation, and evaluation of marketing materials and outreach activities.
• Support recruitment, training, coaching, and development of business development personnel when assigned.
• Partner with clinical/operational teams to improve referral-to-admission processes and conversion outcomes.
• Monitor referral pipelines, lead-tracking systems, conversion ratios, and BD metrics.
• Provide regular reporting on market activity, referral trends, and opportunities.
