Job summary

Interim HealthCare of Scranton, PA is looking for an In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide (HHA) to support seniors in their homes with personal care and daily activities. This role offers 1:1 client attention, weekday/weekend shifts, and benefits like health insurance and weekly pay.

You will assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, light housekeeping, transportation, and companionship, while monitoring clients and reporting concerns to a supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Six months of personal care experience in a similar role.
• CPR certification is required.
• Valid PA driver's license and transportation.
• Compassionate, good communicator, and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping and meals.
• Support activities of daily living, shopping, transportation and companionship.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and range of motion as needed.
• Document conditions, provide medication reminders and notify supervisor of concerns.

What to expect as an In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide HHA:

• Up to $15 per hour
• Type: Older Adult, Elderly Care
• 1:1 Aide-to-client ratios
• Weekdays/Weekends 2nd and 3rd shift
• Health Insurance (maintain 30 hours per week), Weekly Pay, Direct Deposit, Referral Bonuses, a local team for continuous support

What you will do as an In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide HHA:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

Requirements for the In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide HHA:

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Six (6) months of personal care experience in a similar role
• CPR certification
• Valid PA driver's license and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
