Job summary

Interim Healthcare of Scranton, PA is seeking an In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide one-on-one care for clients across Lackawanna, Wayne, and Luzerne Counties. You will assist with daily living activities and companionship, enabling clients to live safely at home.

Shifts are available weekday and weekend, with health insurance after 30 hours, weekly pay, direct deposit, referral bonuses, and access to online training to earn CEUs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Six months of personal care experience in a similar role is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Valid PA driver’s license and access to transportation are required.
• Compassionate and helping nature with good communication and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support so seniors can live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meals, shopping, transportation, companionship.
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document client condition; notify supervisor of concerns.
• Maintain a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy, such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies.

What to expect as an In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide:

• $14-$15 per hour
• 1:1 Aide-to-client ratios
• Variety of hours offered weekdays and weekends; 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift
• Health Insurance (maintain 30 hours per week), Weekly Pay, Direct Deposit, Referral Bonuses, a local team for continuous support

What you will do as an In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies
