Job summary

Interim HealthCare of Scranton, PA is seeking an In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide (HHA) to support seniors in their homes. The role offers up to $15 per hour with 1:1 client care, and shifts on Weekdays and Weekends during 2nd and 3rd shifts.

You will provide essential personal care, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain safety and comfort for clients, with opportunities for a stable, supportive team and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
• Six (6) months of personal care experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid PA driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Compassionate and helping nature with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to seniors to help them live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meals, shopping, transport, companionship).
• Assist with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and report concerns to a supervisor.
• Maintain a safe home environment with clear pathways.
• Engage clients in activities (puzzles, games, reading) to promote well-being.

What to expect as an In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide HHA:

• Up to $15 per hour
• Type: Older Adult, Elderly Care
• 1:1 Aide-to-client ratios
• Weekdays/Weekends 2nd and 3rd shift
• Health Insurance (maintain 30 hours per week), Weekly Pay, Direct Deposit, Referral Bonuses, a local team for continuous support

What you will do as an In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide HHA:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

Requirements for the In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide HHA:

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Six (6) months of personal care experience in a similar role
• CPR certification
• Valid PA driver’s license and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
