Interim HealthCare of Scranton, PA is hiring an In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide (HHA) to support clients across Lackawanna, Wayne, and Luzerne Counties. The role offers $14–$15 per hour with 1:1 client care, multiple shifts (weekday/weekend), and opportunities for health benefits when 30 hours per week are maintained.

You'll provide personal care, daily living assistance, and companionship, while documenting client status and ensuring safety in the home.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of personal care experience in a similar role.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid PA driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support for seniors to live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal prep, shopping, transportation, companionship).
• Help with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document client condition for supervisor review.
• Maintain a safe home environment with clear pathways.
• Engage clients in activities that promote joy (puzzles, games, reading, hobbies).

What to expect as an In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide:

• $14-$15 per hour
• 1:1 Aide-to-client ratios
• Variety of hours offered weekdays and weekends; 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift

What you will do as an In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

Requirements for the In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide:

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Six (6) months of personal care experience in a similar role
• CPR certification
• Valid PA driver’s license and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
