Job summary

Interim HealthCare of Scranton, PA is seeking an In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide compassionate, in-home support to seniors. You will assist with activities of daily living, personal care, meal prep, light housekeeping, transportation and safe mobility in clients’ homes.

We offer up to $15 per hour, 30+ hours weekly eligibility for health insurance, weekly pay with direct deposit, referral bonuses and a local support team committed to your success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• At least 6 months of personal care experience.
• CPR certification.
• Valid PA driver's license and transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to seniors in the home.
• Assist with activities of daily living and companionship.
• Aid with bathing, dressing, grooming, meal prep, light housekeeping and transportation.
• Document condition and notify supervisor of concerns.

In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide HHA

What to expect as an In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide HHA:

• Up to $15 per hour
• Type: Older Adult, Elderly Care
• 1:1 Aide-to-client ratios
• Weekdays/Weekends 2nd and 3rd shift
• Health Insurance (maintain 30 hours per week), Weekly Pay, Direct Deposit, Referral Bonuses, a local team for continuous support

What you will do as an In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide HHA:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

Requirements for the In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide HHA:

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Six (6) months of personal care experience in a similar role
• CPR certification
• Valid PA driver's license and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
