• Three to five years of similar or related experience.
• A two-year college degree or completion of specialized certification or licensing.
• Completion of specialized training courses or an apprenticeship program may also qualify.

Responsibilities

• Consult with members to assess home equity lending needs, recommend solutions, and guide applicants from application to closing.
• Evaluate loan applications, analyze credit risk, and make lending decisions per policies and regulatory requirements.
• Process and manage home equity loan files by collecting documentation, ordering appraisals, and coordinating with underwriting.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state mortgage lending regulations (including RESPA, TILA, TRID, ECOA, HMDA, Fair Lending).
• Communicate proactively with members, underwriters, title companies, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain an excellent member experience.
• Conduct loan closings and review documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Develop relationships with referral partners, branch staff, and community organizations to support loan growth.
• Stay current on lending products, market trends, and NMLS requirements to ensure accurate guidance.
• Meet production, quality, and service goals while contributing to portfolio growth and process improvements.
