Job summary

Airgas, Inc. in Shinnston, WV is seeking an Inside Sales Back-up Driver to support sales, delivery and warehouse operations.

You will sell industrial and specialty gases, assist customers by phone and in person, load/unload cylinders, operate forklifts, and help manage orders and accounts receivable. The role requires a valid CDL and Hazmat endorsement, safety compliance, and the ability to lift 25–75 lbs regularly.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A or B Driver's License.
• Valid Medical Examiner's Card.
• Hazmat Endorsement or ability to obtain within 60 days.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• One year of prior Class A driving experience in last five years.
• Airgas Background and Motor Vehicle Check.
• DOT Clearinghouse verification required.
• Ability to lift 25–75 lbs regularly and up to 100+ lbs.
• Willingness to work outdoors in changing temperatures.
• Drug-free workplace.
• Adherence to safety regulations and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Sales & Business Development: Selling industrial, medical, and specialty gases and related equipment.
• Customer Support: Assisting customers via email, phone, and in-person walk-ins.
• Operations & Logistics: Loading/unloading cylinders, operating forklifts, and backup driver duties.
• Inventory Management: Monitoring cylinder levels to prevent supply emergencies.
• Administrative & Financial: Discussing past-due accounts and coordinating paperwork.
