Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation seeks an experienced Occupational Therapist to deliver functional rehabilitation across home, school, work, and community settings. You’ll work autonomously within a collaborative therapies team to translate clinical plans into real-life activities.

Responsibilities include evaluations, treatment planning, progress reviews, discharge planning, and education resources for families. A strong focus on community-based outcomes and safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy
• Current, unrestricted license as an Occupational Therapist by state in which practicing
• Current CPR Certification
• Minimum of one year’s work experience as an Occupational Therapist
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques for complex neurological diagnoses preferred
• Strong communication in verbal and written interactions
• Ability to lift 50 pounds; moving or transferring patients up to 100 pounds with safety
• Duties require fine motor skills, visual acuity, walking/standing for extended periods
• Physical requirements include: pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, positioning frequently

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans
• Regularly reassess treatment efficacy, attend staffing meetings and family conferences
• Perform discharge evaluations and make recommendations for home and community safety
• Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, patient and family
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure care coordination and improve outcomes
