Job summary

Elk Valley, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Home and Community Based Services Aide to support individuals at home, helping with personal care and daily tasks to enable staying at home. Primary responsibilities include bathing, grooming, meal prep, accompanying to appointments, documenting conditions, and maintaining safety with EVV usage.

Qualifications

• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or access to public transit.
• TN: 75 hours of training including 16 clinical hours within first 3 months; qualified for basic services.
• 6 months+ of home care experience; CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days; ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminders
• Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed
• Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use EVV system
• Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, and respond promptly to client needs
