Job summary

Comcast is seeking an entry-level broadband installer to install and troubleshoot voice, video and data services in residential settings. You will perform field assessments, follow safety guidelines, and complete training and certifications as required for advancement.

The role involves working in customers’ homes, climbing ladders, handling network equipment, and maintaining documentation with digital tools. Flexible schedules, on-the-job training, and benefits start on day one.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role with increasing proficiency and decreasing on-site supervision.
• Willing to complete required certifications and safety training for current role and advancement.
• Ability to work in customers' homes and flexible schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential installations, service changes, and disconnects following safety codes.
• Diagnose and resolve issues from network connection to customer equipment.
• Install and support basic home networks (coaxial, Ethernet, Wi‑Fi).
• Verify service quality using testing tools and adjust for reliability.
• Educate customers on products, services, equipment use and expectations.
• Document completed work and update customer accounts digitally.
• Maintain vehicle, tools, and report safety concerns promptly.
• Operate ladders, meters, and power tools safely.
• Work at heights up to 26 ft on ladders, roofs, poles, or bucket trucks.
• Lift and carry equipment up to 70 pounds; work in crawl spaces or attics.
• Drive company vehicle and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Complete required training, certifications, background checks, and licensing.
• Communicate clearly with customers, supervisors, and coworkers.
• Meet or exceed performance and safety standards.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
