Job summary

Pella Corporation seeks a Residential Sales Consultant for the downtown Chicago market. In this outside sales role, you will meet homeowners to present window and door solutions, perform in-home consultations, and guide buying decisions.

You’ll operate from a home-based office with uncapped commission potential and travel within your territory. Ideal candidate builds trust quickly, delivers strong presentations, and closes sales with excellent negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and strong sales capabilities.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Achieve individual sales and customer satisfaction goals.
• Conduct in-home consultations using a structured sales process.
• Identify customer needs and recommend customized solutions.
• Drive toward first-visit closes, with effective follow-up as needed.
• Generate self-sourced leads through networking, referrals, and community engagement.
• Prepare accurate quotes and orders following company procedures.
• Address customer concerns and partner with internal teams for resolution.
• Maintain availability for evening and weekend appointments.
• Stay current on product knowledge and market competition.
• Manage customer interactions using CRM and digital tools.
• Represent the company at events, home shows, and community engagements.
