Job summary
Memorial Hermann Health System seeks a Medical Physicist to implement advanced imaging and radiation safety programs across a large health system. You will lead CT and MRI protocol development, evaluate emerging technologies with vendors, and guide imaging leadership on equipment and purchasing decisions.
The role requires expertise in diagnostic and nuclear physics, TDSHS licensing, and compliance with ALARA principles, while offering professional growth through conferences and continuing
Qualifications
- Master of Science in Physics, Health Physics, Radiological Physics, Medical Physics, or related field required; PhD preferred.
- Texas License in Medical Physics specialty required.
- Board Certification by the American Board of Radiology or American Board Science of Nuclear Medicine or American Board of Health Physics or other recognized medical physics board certification.
Responsibilities
- Provides expertise in Diagnostic Radiological Physics and Medical Nuclear Physics.
- Acts as primary Radiation Safety Officer for X-Ray Registration and RAM licenses and liaises with the Texas Department of State Health Services.
- Develops and evaluates radiation safety policies and procedures to ensure safe practices.
