Job summary

Schneider Electric in the United States is seeking a Field Service Representative for our Industry Services team. This home-based role offers a 40-hour guarantee with overtime and provided company vehicles, tools, uniforms, mobile devices, and laptops to support daily field work.

Your typical day includes servicing, installing, and repairing customer equipment, performing startup/commissioning on Variable Frequency Drives, and documenting site findings in technical reports. Travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Vocational education or military training in electronics or similar.
• 2+ years of mechanical/electrical service experience.
• Experience with Variable Frequency Drives.
• Ability to write reports and present information to managers/customers.
• Ability to calculate figures and perform basic measurements.
• Experience in testing/maintenance of MV switchgear, transformers, relays or control systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical drawings.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, installing, and repairing customer equipment.
• Warranty work and startup service.
• Startup/Commissioning on Schneider Variable Frequency Drives.
• Testing and calibration on drive products.
• Constructing and testing using diagrams and test instruments.
• Provide on-site audits and technical support.
• Support equipment including switchgear, PDUs, RPPs, BMS, PLCs, HMIs and drives.
• Document site information in technical reports.
• Travel for training and to support job sites as needed.
