Job summary

The Field Service Engineer will install, commission, maintain and repair complex lab automation, ensuring peak performance and exceptional service.

This remote/home-based role covers the Western US with travel to customer sites, remote diagnostics, and close collaboration with engineering, applications and commercial teams to optimise

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience servicing complex laboratory automation, robotics or electro-mechanical instrumentation.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical and software systems.
• Experience supporting sophisticated laboratory equipment within customer environments.
• Programming experience (Python) advantageous.
• Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the Western US and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and validate complex laboratory automation systems at customer sites.
• Perform preventative maintenance, servicing and repairs on advanced laboratory instrumentation.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and software issues remotely and on-site.
• Support delivery of customised laboratory workflow solutions with cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate installation requirements with customers to ensure site readiness.
• Document service activities and customer interactions in the CRM system.
• Manage service schedules and travel plans within your territory.
• Build strong long-term relationships with customers through responsive technical support.
• Provide field feedback to internal teams for product and service improvements.
