Job summary

Mazak Corporation is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, and train customers on Mazak CNC Lathes and Machining Centers across the St. Louis region.

You will travel from home to customer facilities, perform installations, calibrations, and warranty/after-warranty service with a focus on safety and quality. Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and software issues, testing machine operation, preparing installation and service reports, and providing

Qualifications

• 5 years experience in CNC maintenance and repair.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Understand PLCs and hydraulic/pneumatic circuits.

Responsibilities

• Install machines and accessories at customer sites, including assembly, leveling, aligning, adjusting, calibrating and wiring.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and software problems on machines at customer sites.
• Test operation of machines after installation or repair and provide training to customers.
• Complete reports documenting installation, repairs, and parts used.
• Travel overnight as required; assignments centered in the St. Louis area.
