Mazak Corporation is seeking a Field Service Technician to install CNC lathes and machining centers at customer sites and provide training and warranty/service support from a home base in the Milwaukee area. The role requires travel from home with overnight stays and reports to the Midwest Technology Center in Schaumburg, IL.

Essential duties include installing, diagnosing, repairing, testing, and training customers on machine functions, with focus on CNC systems and hydraulics/pneumatics.

Competenze

• 2-year technical training in electronics, mechanical or machine tool assembly.
• High school diploma.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC maintenance and repair.
• Read/understand engineering drawings.
• Ability to read PLC and hydraulic/pneumatic circuits.

Mansioni

• Install machines and accessories at customer sites with assembly, leveling, aligning and wiring.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and software problems at customer sites.
• Test operation of machines after installation or repair.
• Train customers on functions of the machines.
• Learn new machine features as they become available.
• Prepare reports documenting installation, problem assessment, repairs and parts installed.
• Travel is required with overnight or multi-night stays.
• Utilize test equipment for troubleshooting and validation.
