Job summary

South Shore YMCA in Quincy, MA is seeking a Seasonal Holiday Assistance Program Coordinator to support registration and administration of the Holiday Assistance Program (HAP), aiding 800+ kids with gifts, clothing, and support.

The role runs mid-September through late December, averages 20–30 hours per week, with evenings/weekends as needed, and pays $19 per hour. This position requires on-site work at branches and North Pole locations.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication with families and partners.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple families and schedules.
• Comfort with outreach, reporting, and event coordination.
• Some computer experience with Word and Excel; willingness to learn.
• In-person role requiring on-site presence at branches and North Pole.

Responsibilities

• Register participants and collect intake packets for the H.A.P.
• Coordinate gifts and cataloging for up to 400 families.
• Schedule pick-ups and deliveries with families and volunteers.
• Recruit organizations to adopt a family or child.
• Work with staff to plan North Pole events and delivery service.
• Monitor expenses within approved budget.
