Job summary

SSYMCA in Quincy, MA is seeking a Seasonal Holiday Assistance Program Coordinator (Part Time) to support up to 800+ children with gifts, clothing, and additional support. The role runs mid-September through late December, with 20–30 hours per week and a pay rate of $19 per hour.

Responsibilities include coordinating intake, partnering with agencies, managing adopt-a-family activities, organizing gifts, and scheduling pick-ups and deliveries with families and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Passion to help others in the community.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable speaking with families, donors, and community partners.
• Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple family cases, schedules, and inventories.
• Computer experience: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel); comfortable using tablets for intake/check-in.
• Basic knowledge of SGA operating system and willingness to learn.
• This is an in-person role requiring regular on-site presence at the branch and North Pole locations.
• Flexibility in schedule, some evenings and weekends during holidays.

Responsibilities

• Collect intake packets and register participants for the H.A.P.
• Work with partner agencies to share family needs.
• Help manage the “adopt a family” program and gift cataloging.
• Organize and catalog gifts for families prior to pickup.
• Coordinate pickup/delivery times with adopted families.
• Recruit organizations/individuals to adopt a family or child.
• Coordinate staff/volunteers for North Pole events and delivery service.
