Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Community Manager in New Jersey to lead day-to-day operations, ensure legal compliance, and provide executive oversight of the association and staff. You will work with the Board to develop annual budgets and supervise staff while maintaining strong community relations and service delivery.

This role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and experience managing multifaceted community operations, with a focus on safety, compliance, and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field with 3 years’ experience in Property Operations, Hospitality or Construction, or equivalent.
• Seven years of community management experience, with at least 4 years supervising staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for short- and long-range plans with Board objectives.
• Review org structure and job descriptions; recommend changes to the Board.
• Partner with public, private and volunteer orgs to provide community services.
• Recruit, hire, train and supervise all community staff according to the management plan.
• Ensure compliance with civil code, governing documents, and budgets.
• Monitor monthly financial position and report to the Board.
• Attend Board meetings and provide agenda support and reports.
