Job summary

William Douglas Management in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Community Manager to work with Boards of Directors across a portfolio of HOA communities. You will manage assigned communities independently, ensuring homeowners feel informed, supported, and confident in the management team.

The role requires building relationships, solving problems proactively, and providing exceptional customer service. Evening meetings may be required; strong MS Office skills and familiarity with CINC are a plus.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years HOA or community association management experience preferred.
• Proactive, adaptable and independent approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand financial statements and assist with budget preparation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain professional relationships with Board members, homeowners, vendors, and contractors.
• Serve as the primary contact for a portfolio of homeowner associations.
• Conduct regular inspections of common areas and amenities; identify maintenance, compliance, and operational needs.
• Assist Boards with rule enforcement and communication with homeowners.
• Coordinate community vendors and contractors, including follow-up on service needs and projects.
• Help Boards review financial statements, prepare budgets, and monitor community finances.
• Organize and lead Board meetings, annual meetings, elections, and other community events.
• Prepare meeting materials, reports, and administrative documentation.
• Attend occasional evening meetings in person or virtually.
• Balance multiple priorities while providing responsive, high-quality customer service.
