Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology or life science and five years histocompatibility lab required.
• CHT certification from ACHI required; CHS certification preferred.
• Must hold or qualify for California license: Clinical Histocompatibility Scientist (MTR) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (MTA).
• Strong leadership, problem solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the HLA Serology/Molecular laboratory operations.
• Plan scheduling, evaluate work, and troubleshoot issues.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain documentation.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and documentation across the lab.
• Monitor testing systems and sign out clinical reports.
• Oversee personnel matters: hiring, coaching, performance management.
• Provide on-site supervision and on-call support as needed.
• Develop and update clinical policies, procedures, and manuals.
